Strategic Investment Structure

Revenue generating units also contribute to the Strategic Investment Fund (SIF), which is split into two groups based on funding sources and uses, the Common Strategic Investment Fund (CSIF) and the Strategic Investment Fee Fund (SIFF). The chart below details which units contribute to each fund.

A 14% contribution is assessed on unrestricted revenues listed below. Revenues are summed together and multiplied by 14%.

Strategic Investment Fee Fund (SIFF)

SIFF is funded from sources that are set aside from student fees and will be used to support strategic priorities that align with the purpose of each fee as designated by statutory language. An 8% contribution is assessed on the Mandatory Fees listed below. Revenues from these fees are summed together and multiplied by 8%.
